Composition: Enrofloxacin.............100mg/ml Indications : Enrofloxacin injection is a broad spectrum antibiotic active against gram positive and gram negative bacteria as well as mycoplasmas and chlamydias . Dosage and Administration : Inject intravenous or intramuscular for animals : 2.5 mg/ kg of bw . Precautions : Enrofloxacin injection is not suitable for horse , dogs which are 8 weeks old and laying hens . Side Effects : With the exception of potential cartilage abnormalitiese in young animals , the adverse effect profile of these drugs appears to be minimal . Gl distress ( vomiting , anorexia ) is the most common , yet infrequently reported adverse effect . Although not reported thus far in animals , hypersensitivity reactions , crystalluria and CNS effects ( dizziness , stimulation ) could potentially occur . Precautions : Enrofloxacin injection is not suitable for horse , dogs which are 8 weeks old and laying hens .
