Product: Procaine Penicillin G and Dihydrostreptomycin Sulphate Injection
Composition:
Each ml contains:
Procaine penicillin G 200,000 IU.
Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate 200 mg.
Indications:
Effective against arthritis, mastitis, and various gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tract infections. Targets micro-organisms sensitive to penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin such as Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E. coli, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Listeria, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus spp., across calves, cattle, goats, sheep, and swine.
Dosage and Administration:
For intramuscular use:
Cattle: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight for 3 days.
Calves, goats, sheep, and swine: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight for 3 days.
Shake well before use. Do not administer more than 20 ml in cattle, 10 ml in swine, and 5 ml in calves, sheep, and goats per injection site.
Administer via deep intramuscular injection.
Maintain normal aseptic precautions.
Recommended dosage: 8 mg/kg body weight procaine penicillin and 10 mg/kg body weight dihydrostreptomycin sulphate, equivalent to 1 ml per 25 kg body weight. Administer once daily for up to three days. Maximum dose per site: 15 ml for horses, 6 ml for cattle, 3 ml for sheep, and 1.5 ml for pigs.
Side Effects:
Procaine penicillin G may cause abortion in sows at therapeutic dosages.
Possible ototoxicity, neurotoxicity, or nephrotoxicity.
Hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
Withdrawal Times:
Kidney: 45 days.
Meat: 21 days.
Milk: 3 days.
