Diminazene aceturate, a member of the aromatic diamidines group, is effective against babesiosis, piroplasmosis, and trypanosomiasis. It is supplemented with Vitamin B6 and B12 to counteract the anemic effects of the diseases by promoting red blood cell production.
Recommended for treating babesiosis, piroplasmosis, and trypanosomiasis in camels, cattle, cats, dogs, goats, horses, sheep, and swine.
Avoid administration to animals with known hypersensitivity to diminazene or phenazone, as well as those with impaired renal or hepatic function.
For deep intramuscular injection, dissolve 2.37 (23.7) grams of powder in 15 (150) ml of sterile water to prepare an injectable solution. Administer at a rate of 1 ml per 20 kg body weight.
Store in a cool, dry place below 30ºC, protected from light.
