Composition:
Oxytetracycline
Indications:
Oxytetracycline Injection is designed to treat a variety of diseases in cattle, sheep, and goats. It is effective against organisms susceptible to Oxytetracycline, including Pasteurella spp, Haemophilus spp, and Fusobacterium necrophorum. Key conditions treated include pneumonia, shipping fever complex, infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (pinkeye), foot rot, diphtheria, bacterial enteritis (scours), wooden tongue, leptospirosis, wound infections, and acute metritis caused by staphylococci and streptococci organisms.
Dosage and Administration:
For cattle: Administer for bronchopneumonia, respiratory infections, gastrointestinal tract infections, metritis, mastitis, septicaemia, puerperal infections, and secondary bacterial infections primarily caused by viruses.
For sheep and goats: Use for treating infections of the respiratory, urogenital, and gastrointestinal tracts, as well as hooves, mastitis, and infected wounds.
Administer by deep intramuscular injection at a dosage of 20mg/kg body weight.
Withdrawal Period:
Ensure a 14-day withdrawal period for meat and edible tissues, and a 3-day withdrawal period for milk, from the last treatment.
Warnings:
Inject no more than 20 ml at any one site for cattle, and no more than 5 ml for sheep and goats.
If the total volume exceeds these amounts, divide and inject into multiple sites.
Do not dilute the drug before administration.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from light.
Packing:
Available in 50ml, 100ml, 250ml, and 500ml vials.
