Indications for
use
Oxytetracycline hydrochloride for injection is specifically employed for farm animals to treat respiratory bacterial infections, colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis,
gastroenterocolitis of bacterial origin in young animals, mastitis, gynecological conditions, and other diseases caused by pathogens sensitive to tetracycline antibiotics.
Before use, the drug in avial, punctured with a needle, should be dissolvedin 5-10mlof waterforinjection,or a sterile isotonic solution of sodium chloride, or 1-2% sterile solution of novocaine.
The treatment solution must be prepared immediately before administration and is not suitable for storage or heating.

The drug is administered to animals intramuscularly at intervals of
10-12 hours for 5-7 days in the following doses
(according to the active substance):
Calves up to 6 months of ageand lambsupto4 monthsofage -9mg/kg ofanimal weight;
Piglets up to 6 monthsofage-12m g/kg of animalweight;Cattle,pigsolderthan 6 months ofageandsmall cattleolderthan4 months of age -7mg/kg
ofanimalweight.
Withdrawal period
Slaughter of animalsfor meat isallowed no earlierthan6 days after the last use of the drug.
