Uses As a spray for the control of sarcoptic mange and lice in pigs. Mange, lice and ticks in cattle Ticks, keds and lice in sheep and goats
Dosage & Administration Cattle: 100 ml for 50 litres of water Sheep, goats, pigs: 100 ml for 25 litres of water The treatment can be repeated 7/10 days after the first one. Treat routinely every 2/3 months. By spray or dip, Amitraz Solution 12.5% is safe on young animals and pregnant females at the recommended doses. It is active against adult and larvae stages of lice and keds especially the ones resistant to organophosphorus and organochloride compounds.

Operator warnings: wear coveralls, rubber gloves - neoprene or nitrile of minimum thickness 0.5 mm-and face shield when opening containers or diluting, mixing or transferring the product from one container to another or when washing out the container. Wear arm length rubber gloves, rubber boots and bib apron when handling diluted fluid or freshly treated animals. Do not handle treated animals without use of protective clothing until the coat has dried thoroughly. When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Do not breathe spray mist. Avoid all contact with mouth, skin and eyes. Wash concentrate or splashes of diluted spray from skin or eyes immediately. Wash all protective clothing thoroughly after use especially the inside of gloves. Wash hands and exposed skin before eating, drinking, or smoking and after work. If one feels unwell, seek medical advice.
Guide to doctor: amitraz is not an organophosphorus compound. If poisoning is suspected, treatment should be symptomatic and supportive, paying particular attention to monitoring of respiratory and cardiac function. However, recovery is normally spontaneous. Do not use Atropine, do not induce vomiting.
Environmental warnings: harmful to fish. Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with chemicals or used containers.
Hazard warnings: may cause irritation by skin contact. Harmful if swallowed. Irritating to eyes and skin.
Precautions: bottles should be locked in a safe place. Should be kept away from food, drink and animal feed. Do not re-use containers. The dip wash must be discarded and disposed of safely 24 hrs, after preparation. Keep out of reach of children.
