Contains per ml:
Procaine Penicillin G 200,000 IU.
Dihydrostreptomycin Sulphate 200 mg.
Indications:
This potent injection is highly effective for treating arthritis, mastitis, and various infections in gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tracts. It's specifically targeted at combating micro-organisms sensitive to penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin, including Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E. coli, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Listeria, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus spp. Ideal for use in calves, cattle, goats, sheep, and swine.
Dosage and Administration:
For intramuscular administration:
Cattle: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight for 3 days.
Calves, goats, sheep, and swine: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight for 3 days.
Ensure to shake well before use. Do not administer more than 20 ml in cattle, 10 ml in swine, and 5 ml in calves, sheep, and goats per injection site.
Administered via deep intramuscular injection.
Follow standard aseptic precautions during administration.
The recommended dosage is 8 mg/kg body weight of Procaine Penicillin with 10 mg/kg body weight of Dihydrostreptomycin Sulphate, equivalent to 1 ml per 25 kg body weight. Administer once daily for up to three consecutive days. Maximum dose per site should not exceed 15 ml for horses, 6 ml for cattle, 3 ml for sheep, and 1.5 ml for pigs.
Side Effects:
Therapeutic doses of Procaine Penicillin G may cause abortion in sows.
Potential for ototoxicity, neurotoxicity, or nephrotoxicity.
May trigger hypersensitivity reactions.
Withdrawal Times:
Kidney: 45 days.
Meat: 21 days.
Milk: 3 days.
