Huabang Tylostine Injection
Tylosin 10 gm
Gentamycin sulphate 5 gm
Colistn sulphate(Bp) 20 mlU
Indications
For the treatment of bacterial diseases in animals caused by sensitive bacteria, including but not limited to:
Respiratory tract infections: such as bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.
Digestive tract infections: such as bacterial enteritis, diarrhea, etc.
Urogenital system infections: such as metritis, mastitis, etc.
Arthritis: diseases such as arthritis caused by sensitive bacteria.
Systemic infections: such as sepsis.
Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by gentamycin sensitive bacteria, like E. coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella and Salmonella spp. in calves, cattle, goats, sheep and swine.
Gentamycin 10% belongs to the group of aminoglycosides and acts bactericidal
against mainly Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella and Salmonella spp. The bactericidal action is based on inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis.
Colistin has a potent bactericidal action against gram negative bacteria especially enterobacteria and more particularly Escherichia coli. This product is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by colistin sensitive bacteria, like E. coli, Haemophilus and Salmonella spp., in calves, goats, poultry, sheep. It is also efficient to control obstinate dysentery that is resist to other antibiotic drugs.
Calves, goats and sheep: Twice daily 1gram per 80 kg body weight for 5-7 days.
Poultry and swine:1kg per 4000-8000 litres dringking water for 5-7days.
1kg per 2000-4000kg feed for 5-7 days.
Pharmacological action
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic that mainly binds to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes and inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, thereby exerting its antibacterial effect. It is effective against a variety of Gram-positive bacteria and some Gram-negative bacteria, especially Gram-positive bacteria such as Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Actinomycetes, etc.
Usage and Dosage
Intramuscular injection: usually calculated by body weight, 10-20 mg per kilogram of body weight, once or twice a day, for 3-5 days. The specific dosage and course of treatment should be adjusted according to the condition and veterinary advice.
Large animals: such as cattle, pigs, etc., adjust the dosage appropriately according to the weight ratio.
Small animals: such as dogs, cats, etc., the dosage should be accurately calculated according to the body weight.
Adverse reactions
Common adverse reactions: Short-term pain, redness, swelling or nodules may occur at the injection site.
Allergic reactions: Allergic reactions may occur in a few cases, such as rash and itching. In severe cases, breathing difficulties may occur. The drug should be stopped immediately and emergency treatment should be carried out.
Digestive system reactions: Transient loss of appetite, diarrhea and other symptoms may occur.
Precautions
Drug resistance issues: Avoid unnecessary long-term medication to reduce the generation of drug-resistant strains.
Liver and kidney function monitoring: When used for a long time or in large doses, the liver and kidney function of animals should be monitored regularly.
Appropriate medication:
The dosage and duration of use should be reasonably adjusted according to veterinary advice.
