Procaine penicillin G and Dihydrostreptomycin Sulphate Injection: A potent blend of two powerful antibiotics designed to deliver superior infection control.
Composition:
Each ml Contains:
200,000 IU of Procaine penicillin G.
200 mg of Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate.
Indications:
Effective against arthritis, mastitis, and gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tract infections caused by a variety of sensitive micro-organisms including Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E. coli, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Listeria, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus spp. Ideal for use in calves, cattle, goats, sheep, and swine.
Dosage and Administration:
For intramuscular administration:
Cattle: Administer 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight for 3 days.
Calves, goats, sheep, and swine: Administer 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight for 3 days.
Shake well before use. Do not administer more than 20 ml in cattle, 10 ml in swine, and 5 ml in calves, sheep, and goats per injection site.
Administer by deep intramuscular injection with attention to the prescribed volumes.
Observe normal aseptic precautions during administration.
The recommended dosage rate is 8 mg/kg body weight of Procaine penicillin with 10 mg/kg body weight of Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate, equivalent to 1 ml per 25 kg body weight. Treatment should be administered once daily for up to three consecutive days. The maximum dose volume per site should not exceed 15 ml for horses, 6 ml for cattle, 3 ml for sheep, and 1.5 ml for pigs.
Side Effects:
Therapeutic dosages of Procaine penicillin G can cause abortion in sows.
Possible ototoxicity, neurotoxicity, or nephrotoxicity.
Hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
Withdrawal Times:
Kidney: 45 days.
Meat: 21 days.
Milk: 3 days.
