Procaine penicillin G and Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate Injection
Composition:
Contains per ml:
Procaine penicillin G 200 000 IU.
Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate 200 mg.
Indications:
A highly effective solution for treating arthritis, mastitis, and infections of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tracts. Our formulation targets penicillin- and dihydrostreptomycin-sensitive microorganisms including Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E. coli, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Listeria, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus spp. Suitable for calves, cattle, goats, sheep, and swine.
Dosage and Administration:
Designed for intramuscular administration:
Cattle: Administer 1 ml per 20 kg body weight for 3 days.
Calves, goats, sheep, and swine: Administer 1 ml per 10 kg body weight for 3 days.
Ensure thorough shaking before use. Maximum administration should not exceed 20 ml in cattle, 10 ml in swine, and 5 ml in calves, sheep, and goats per injection site.
To be administered via deep intramuscular injection.
Maintain standard aseptic precautions during administration.
The recommended dosage is 8 mg/kg bodyweight procaine penicillin combined with 10 mg/kg bodyweight dihydrostreptomycin sulphate, which translates to 1 ml per 25 kg bodyweight. Administer once daily for up to three consecutive days. Maximum dose volume per site: 15 ml for horses, 6 ml for cattle, 3 ml for sheep, and 1.5 ml for pigs.
Side Effects:
Therapeutic dosages of procaine penicillin G may result in abortion in sows.
Potential risks include ototoxicity, neurotoxicity, or nephrotoxicity.
Possible hypersensitivity reactions.
