Composition:
Oxytetracycline
Indications:
Indications: Specifically formulated for the treatment of a broad spectrum of diseases in cattle, sheep, and goats caused by Oxytetracycline-sensitive organisms. This includes conditions like pneumonia and shipping fever complex linked to Pasteurella spp and Haemophilus spp, infectious bovine kerato-conjunctivitis (pinkeye) due to Moraxella bovis, foot rot and diphtheria from Fusobacterium necrophorum, bacterial enteritis (scours) from Escherichia coli, wooden tongue from Actinobacillus lignierisii, leptospirosis from Leptospira pomona, wound infections, and acute metritis caused by staphylococci and streptococci strains sensitive to Oxytetracycline.
Dosage and administration:
For cattle: Effective against bronchopneumonia and other respiratory infections, gastrointestinal tract infections, metritis, mastitis, septicaemia, puerperal infections, and secondary bacterial infections due to viruses.
For sheep and goats: Treats infections of the respiratory, urogenital, gastrointestinal tracts, hooves, mastitis, and infected wounds.
Administer by deep intramuscular injection. The recommended dose is 20mg/kg bodyweight.
Withdrawal Period
Strict withdrawal period: from the last treatment, 14 days for meat and edible tissues, and 3 days for milk.
Warnings:
For cattle, do not inject more than 20 ml per site; for sheep and goats, a maximum of 5 ml per site.
If the total volume exceeds the recommended amount, divide and administer to multiple sites.
Do not dilute the drug.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from light.
Packing:
Available in 50ml, 100ml, 250ml, and 500ml vials.
Shelf life:
Shelf life of 3 years.
