Amoxcillin 15% and Gentamicin sulphate 4% injectable suspension (For Veterinary Use Only) Composition: Contains per ml.: Amoxicillin trihydrate150 mg. Gentamicin sulphate40mg Excipients1 ml. Description: Amoxicillin and gentamicin sulphate are two known antibiotics that individually have particular and interesting therapeutic properties, and when acting together they have a broad antibacterial spectrum which includes Gram(+) microorganisms(mainly streptococcus, Staphylococcus and Corynebacterium) and Gram(-)microorganisms(particularly Escherichia coil,Pasteurellas, Salmonellas and pseudomonas).Moreover, test of in vitro have shown that they act synergistically. In addition, this product has excellent with long lasting effects. The Gentamicin-Amoxicillin association, include in the product AMOXIGEN, improve the therapeutic properties of each one of these antibiotics administered individually. Indications: Horses:Pneumonia, Diarrhoea, Bacterial enteritis, Genito-urinary infections,Strangles,Cutaneous abscesses and Foot infections. Side effects: Prolonged treatment with doses greater than those recommended may cause renal discorders. Adiministration and Dosage: Shake well before use. For intramuscular injection. Sheep and Goats: 5 to 10ml/adult animal/day;and 1 to 5 ml/young animal/day. Cattle:30 to 40 ml/adult animal/day;and 10 to 15 ml/foal/day; Horses:30 to 50 ml/adult animal/day;and 5 to 15ml/foal/day; Generally administer 1ml/10kg b.w./day,for 3days. When large volumes are administered,e.g.cattle and horses, It is advisable to inject the volume at two inoculation sites to favour absorption. Withdrawal times: - For meat:30 days. - For milk:2 day.
