Diminazene aceturate, a member of the aromatic diamidines group, is effective against babesiosis, piroplasmosis, and trypanosomiasis. It is supplemented with Vitamin B6 and B12 to counteract the anemic effects by promoting red blood cell production.
Treats babesiosis, piroplasmosis, and trypanosomiasis in camels, cattle, cats, dogs, goats, horses, sheep, and swine.
Avoid in animals with known hypersensitivity to diminazene and/or phenazone, as well as those with impaired renal and/or hepatic function.
Possible hypersensitivity reactions, salivation, sweating, and tremors. Multiple doses may lead to severe nervous signs, hemorrhagic lesions, and fatty changes in organs.
Administer deep intramuscularly after dissolving 2.37 (23.7) grams of powder in 15 (150) ml of sterile water. Dosage is 1 ml per 20 kg body weight.
Meat: 21 days, Milk: 4 days
Store below 30ºC in a cool, dry place away from light.
