Oxytetracycline hydrochloride for injection is specifically utilized in farm animals to treat respiratory bacterial infections, colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis,bacterial gastroenterocolitis in young animals, mastitis, gynecological ailments, and other diseases caused by pathogens susceptible to tetracycline antibiotics.
Before use, the drug in thevial, punctured with a sterile needle, should be dissolvedin 5-10mlof sterile waterforinjection,or a sterile isotonic solution of sodium chloride, or a 1-2% sterile solution of novocaine.
The treatment solution must be prepared immediately before administration and is not suitable for storage or heating.
Administration route
The drug is administered to animals intramuscularly at intervals of 10-12 hours for 5-7 days in the following doses
(according to the active substance):
Calves up to 6 months of ageand lambsuptoFor animals up to 4 months of age, administer 9mg/kg ofanimalweight.For piglets up to 6 months of age, administer 12mg/kg ofanimal weight.
For cattle and pigs older than 6 months of age, and small cattleolder than 4 months of age, administer 7mg/kg of animalweight.
Withdrawal period:
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlierthan 6 days after the last use of the drug.

Keep tightly sealed, and store in a dry place.
